The automation builder currently lacks the ability to create or update the due date field in a record using recurring date functionality. This feature would be highly beneficial for a variety of use cases. Use Case Example: In a service company, such as an accountancy firm, there are numerous monthly tasks like bookkeeping or payroll. After setting up a client’s account and selecting the relevant services, an automation could run to generate these recurring tasks automatically. This would streamline workflow and ensure timely task management. Adding this feature would greatly enhance the functionality and utility of the automation builder, particularly for businesses with repetitive tasks.

When a due date is set to recurring, the new iteration of the task does not carry over the start date and time, just the end date and time. If it could roll over both, that would be extremely helpful, as we are having to manually update new tasks with the correct start date and time.

We have tasks rolling up to milestones and projects. It would be great if the dates nested within a project or milestone could be roll ups of what within it. We are currently doing it with formulas, but they break, so an official setting would be amazing.

Currently, when a task with a past due date is marked as recurring, the next date assigned does not follow a sequential date order but reverts to the next date after the present. This behavior is inconsistent as subsequent tasks are created sequentially for future dates. Suggested Improvement: Modify the recurring task functionality so that the next date assigned follows a sequential date order, even when the initial task has a past due date. This would ensure consistency in task scheduling and better alignment with user expectations. Implementing this change would streamline task recurrence and provide a more intuitive user experience.

The current display format of 'Due Date' & 'Date' fields that include a 'Time' is to long. Current format: Tue, Mar 19 at 7:30AM Is there a possibility of shortening the format options to look like this: Proposed format: Tue, Mar 19, 7:30am Remarks The Proposed format removes the word 'at' (which is unnecessary) and changes the AM/PM to am/pm. The Proposed format looks cleaner, less cluttered and will fit better under a Title Field or whenever we place a Date Field that includes a 'Time'. **The screenshot below is the current 'Date' Format display, which is too long, cluttered and unnecessary.

We can already choose multiple "complete" statuses - it would be nice if the due dates could reference those specific Statuses. So create nested options in the due date Linked status drop down -(i.e. Job Status: Install/ Job Status: Return Trip)

The completion of a due date is only displayed in the due date field. I would like to have access to the date it was actually completed so I can generate reports on average number of days overdue and identify users who are consistently taking more time to complete their tasks.

It would be great if we could filter repeatable tasks. Currently there is no way to find just repeatable tasks.

Big fan of this feature. I'd like more control of colors, though. For instance, I would like to see "Today" as the color, green. Red shows what has passed and orange shows what is coming. Green could show what is in progress. In the image, today is June 3rd. Those would be green.

Is there any chance to add an extra setting when 'Group by': Due Dates. Have the option to either 'Show' or 'Hide' the 'Empty Days' in the different views that show each day as Groups on the left side top to bottom of Records page. Example: Even though we may not have any Tasks that are due on Friday or Saturday, we would still be able to see the 'Empty Days' (Friday & Saturday) if we have that option enabled. Helps to visualize our weeks much better.
