Feature Requests

SmartDocs restrict me from indenting a line unless I'm specifically using a PURE bullet or numbered outline. If I mix and match bullets and numbers, the ability to indent is lost. If I just want to indent one line under another, no can do. This feels horribly restrictive and drives me crazy almost every time I'm using a SmartDoc. I don't know any other program that's so restrictive. Attached an example. I want to indent the Topics to Cover and bullets below it. Nope, sorry, no can do, SmartDocs won't allow it.

Minor request, but in the interest of saving an extra click for a frequent task :) In SmartDocs - I would love to create formatted links by typing a text label, highlighting that text, then pasting the link. Here's an example of how it works in Slack, and other tools like Coda do the same.

Many times I want the SmartDoc capabilities for a couple of sentences or a bit of data. Being able to resize the window of a Smartdoc would be really nice to help organization and not take up as much room.

There are so many entries for smart doc improvements it may be time to consolidate them and or give us a road map just for where and when smart doc is heading.

We use scribe ( scribehow.com ) to document the steps in a task (SOP). We would love to be able to embed a scribe document in a task so the steps are listed in the task. Right now, we would have to link to the doc in scribe. Scribe uses iframes to embed so basically implementing the ability to add iframes to a smartdoc would be sufficient. Even better would be a direct integration with scribe Perfect world - build a scribe like feature that would remove the need for scribe and allow you to easily document the steps right in smart suite.

A spreadsheet widget for smartdoc that has the ability to pull data out of other fields and is addressable by a formula in fields would be sooooo amazing. I really need to do basic math inside of a smartdoc! Estimating costs requires lots of little calculations and others need to be able to see the history of this. It makes no senses to type this as dumb date into a smart doc to capture this history when we should be able to do the calculation there. .... please!

Really wish I could simply highlight and hit Ctrl-K to create hyperlinks in Smartdocs.

File attach Icon should be there in display. Though that its available thru / command, but it helps to have it in display especially in Forms.

Notions highest ranked feature is the simplicity of the page builder. Starting with a blank page and a curser you can build and dream. SmartSuite's SmartDocs have the key components of this builder and the backbone of SmartSuite's infrastructure is unmatched. It would be incredible if the dashboards were effectively a blank page with the flashing curser prompt similar to notion allowing the user to build right within the SmartDoc. Lastly, there is something about rich icons that help keep the builder from being BLOCKY and RIGID. Ok, that's all for now. Thank you SmartSuite!!!
