Use postcodes to ensure all locations shown
Gavin Smith
Map view usually fails to show most of our organisations. This appears to be because the addresses are not 100% the same as google. This is difficult as they are synchronised from our accounting software and changing 500 organisations is time consuming. Can we have an option to base the points on map view on the post code only (zip code for Americans). This is very close to the actual location and fulfils most of our needs. It is also highly likely it will be recognised and found by Google Maps.

Hey Gavin Smith, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- How frequently do the addresses from your accounting software get updated or synchronized?
- Are there any specific regions or countries where this issue is more prevalent?
- Would you need the option to toggle between using full addresses and postcodes for different scenarios?

- Once, then only if either changes
- we are in UK. 99% of addresses are not getting a tick from Google. Even if I manually enter an address in the long format address entry system, when I start Google auto fill often guesses correctly. However, when I click OK only a partial address fills into the address fields. This is fine for Google maps pin drops. But not if I am posting a snail mail to the customer as most of the address is incomplete. If I try to fill in the missing information, the address is then lost from Google maps.
- For us post codes are the best all round. Or some code that looks for the full address, and where not found, it looks for the post code on google maps and marks that spot. If the code was synchronising with Google maps in that order of priority then it may not need a toggle button.
Another option is a what 3 words?
