Ability to real-time time tracking, given a running clock that you launch when you start a task, and that you can pause or stop when you finish, for example.
This ability will make it simple for SmartSuite Members to track the time spent working on individual tasks, projects or other business workflows without requiring them to switch to another app. Your work will be more seamless and require fewer interruptions without losing the ability to automatically keep track of time spent.
With this data, project managers will be able to easily see how many hours were spent on a project, legal offices can track the time an associate spends working on client matters, or design teams can collect the level of effort required to deliver on a project - all without a separate application that distracts team members from the task at hand.

Sharing the progress that we've made on the time tracking field. We are introducing an additional "Timer" tab next to Duration and Range and also a "Floating Pill" - a functionality that will let you easily access the Time Tracking field while working on something else.

One more idea here. I've been using PayMo to track my time and what I love about it is the desktop app which you run in the morning and stop at the end of the day. It records all activities - browser tabs, slack channels, running apps and at the end of the day you can select the different time entries and activities and log them to the corresponding tasks that are assigned to you.
There are 2 huge advantages here :
1 - you don't need to worry about forgetting to turn the tracker on - it's running all day and at the end you just remove the activities not related to your work.
2 - it logs all the activities in a way where they could be confirmed by your manager if needed
