Time Sheets Widget for Detailed Time Tracking
Dominik Maisriemel
We need a way to get detailed subfield information for time tracking, including Reported By, Reported Time, and Notes. Currently, only aggregated values can be returned, which is not sufficient for our needs. A Time Sheets widget that visualizes all this data would be very helpful for our time tracking and reporting requirements.

Hi! My organization will also need this feature in order to summarize time records by user and create timesheets.

That would work for us too. We need time in, time out and duration to be reported.

Great to hear your perspective, Dominik Maisriemel! Following up on this:
- Could you provide more details on the specific subfields you would like to see in the Time Sheets widget?
- What is the frequency of time tracking and reporting in your organization?
- Could you elaborate on how you currently handle time tracking and what specific improvements you expect from the new widget?

Super – thank you!
I’m really glad you’re taking on this topic! 😊
Below, I’d like to provide our details.
- User Time Report:
Time overview per user:
Overview of tracked time per day
Overview of tracked time per week
Overview of tracked time per month
Overview of total tracked time
Display for a single user
Display as an overview of all users
Display of accumulated time depending on filter (Group by Field)
Graphical display as a timeline per user in an overview
- Time Reporting:
An ideal time report includes all time entries, including date, time spent, notes, and the name of the record in a list with a total sum.
If a record has multiple time-tracking entries, each should be displayed as a separate line in the report/overview.
Time Report depending on Group by (per data field):
For example, group by "Project," "Client," "Period"
An overview should then be available both as an accumulated summary and as a detailed view per entry (Reported On, Reported by, Reported Time, Notes, Record Title).
- Time Types:
Ideally, there are billable and non-billable time entries.
- How we track – Frequency and process of time tracking and reporting:
Time is tracked daily per task. Typically, there are also several tasks per day for which time is tracked. Additionally, there can be multiple time entries per task per day with different notes. Ideally, the entire workday is tracked. The time is then compared with planned hours per task or per client and displayed accordingly.
A client project has a total time budget – this is further divided into several associated tasks, which each have their own time budget.
- Resource Planning:
If the topic of resource planning is to be addressed, then a time budget per user in connection with estimated time per assigned record would be interesting for planning purposes. This would make it clear how much time budget each user has, how much of it is covered by the assigned tasks, and what time budget is still available.
However, this can also be calculated manually using formulas.
Hope this helps!
If we can help, please don't hesitate to write to me.
Looking foward to this widget! :-) Thx!
