In the past, I heard about the potential idea of integrating insta, fb, and other platforms into smartsuite to make distribution easier from within the platform.
I think for many consumers that already struggle with consistency and social media, in general, would benefit from this. However, any serious user would have to still use the actual application for Instagram due to the API not having all the integrations that the app allows. Such as additional features in stories like music, polls, quizzes, links…etc, and certain types of posts like reels. Especially since Instagram rewards the usage of such features with additional exposure. It is still a great idea to have that for users of Smartsuite since posting, but not using all the features is still better than not posting at all.
With that being said, other platforms do not function the same way, do not have all the additional features, or don’t reward the uses of those items as intensely.
I would see great value if I could map the fields of a record with Social Channels like, Linkedin and Google my business, potentially youtube, but I would have questions on features and would need more testing as I am not familiar with all the integrations they allow through their api.
Some of the things that would be needed is a one-time sign-on at the Solution or record level.
I believe solutions make sense since each solution can have its own set of logins per platform.
Records also make sense for applications that host multiple different client records like other agencies might.
Some important features would be not having to log in consistently because of 2-factor authentication and ease of use.
The others would be clear publishing options for all things that the different platforms have.
And it works without any kind of watermarking or trail that would imply that this wasn’t done by a human being.
If this is being worked on I would love to give an objective opinion on solutions that would work best across the social platform for a variety of users and situations.
If it is not, then no big deal, food for thought down the road.
