Set Default View in Calendar to other-than monthly layout
Carla Williams
Our field superintendents use a calendar to manage due dates for scheduling due dates. When they open the calendar, they have to click into the list view to see the list. With some days having dozens of things coming due on a given day, the list view is the only view they use. Our construction field staff if working off of ipads, and typically not very tech savvy... Being able to set the list view as the default view on a calendar would be tremendously helpful!

Hey Carla Williams, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- How frequently do the field superintendents need to switch to the list view during their daily tasks?
- Are there any specific features in the list view that are crucial for the field staff's workflow?
- Would the ability to set a default view be beneficial for other calendar users in your organization?

Hi Jon Darbyshire!
- Many times- 20+. They work off of their iPads, and they reference this view every time they open it. It always resets back to the monthly view.
- I understand that using My Work could help with this some. But having calendared critical tasks mixed together with other tasks doesn't seem to be a great solution for uses who score a zero on tech savvy. The items on the calendar are the building schedule. Eventually we would like to rebuild this into a gantt chart, but the superintendents would still need to see the list view in the calendar. The project managers are the only ones who would use the gantt view.
- Absolutely. We have detailed project schedules for just about every department- development, acquisition, purchasing, design... .even warranty and sales could benefit from a list view. This is needed in particular for anyone executing multiple project management related workflows at the field level.
