Send/Receive emails from the Chat/Comments section of the Mobile App

Thank you for posting, Brad Hawkins! I have a few more questions for you:
- Could you please clarify if you would like to have the same email functionality in the mobile app as in the web version or if there are specific features you're interested in?
- Are there any specific scenarios or use cases where you find the need to send/receive emails from within the chat/comments section of the Mobile App?
- Could you provide more details on how often you would use this feature and how it would improve your experience with the app?

Hello Jon Darbyshire.
Thank you so much for the extremely fast reply. You must be working very long hours.
To answer your questions:
- Yes, it would be great to have the same functionality in the Mobile App as found in the Web version. I don't have any features that standout above others, so full functionality would be great (if possible) in the Mobile App.
- (and 3.) I work very long hours and a reasonable portion of my time is spent in the field. Being able to have full email/chat functionality on the Mobile App would be very helpful. I am not always at a desk and therefore would prefer to send correspondence when it comes to mind.
The same would apply to replies of emails via SmartSuite as these might be relevant to questions that relate to work, particularly on medium to large projects.
This functionality creates a central record that is easily referenced by all and allows for immediate action and/or the creation of any necessary tasks etc.
Additionally, I have staff members in the field that would also benefit from being able to email in this fashion when on the go.
Furthermore, having this sort of functionality would probably discourage random acts of communication via other means (eg: SMS) and therefore once again keep every relevant piece of correspondence in place for all to reference. It also creates an important "paper trail" so there's a record of all activity.
I am trying (planning) to keep all activity relating to Projects/Tasks (and other Solutions) in the same instruments so that all of the content relating to these activities is kept close at hand. Otherwise, one has to copy/paste any relevant information into the related activity (and this is inefficient and creates unnecessary context switching, and the result is that it probably won't happen).
I plan on bringing my team into SmartSuite (on the Pro Plan) and want to ensure that all team members can easily see all of the activity relating to correspondence in the same location.
Currently we use Missive (for email) and this is ok (for chat behind the scenes) but there is still a large disconnect from Projects and/or Tasks etc.
Furthermore, if there is correspondence between a staff member and a client, and they don't think to share the correspondence (via Missive), the result is that others are not kept in the loop. This creates transparency issues that could be avoided if the correspondence was kept in the appropriate location in SmartSuite.
Finally, it's probably worth mentioning that I find communications one of the BIGGEST issues and challenges in business these days. Miscommunications, fractured information, missed messages etc (the list goes on) results in a loss of time, revenue, and, sometimes, clients.
Whether at the computer or on the go (Mobile), I think this approach to central communications addresses one of the biggest problems for most busy professionals in today's fast paced business world.
Does that answer your questions?
Thank you for your interest and time.
