This would also solve the problem of accidentally duplicating solutions with unwanted links. Currently, when you duplicate a solution, all of the links to other solutions in the original solution are also copied to the new solution. This can be a problem if you only want to duplicate the solution itself, and not the links.

You are responsible for maintaining, protecting, and making backups of your Content. To the extent permitted by applicable law, SmartSuite will not be liable for any failure to store, or for loss or corruption of, your Content.
So I'd expect to have an easy out of the box ability to backup everything, Including the data structure

Having templates for a set of tasks/apps as well as checklists is very important to us. We currently use this in ClickUp and we are seriously looking at Smart Suite as an alternative. So far your product looks very promising to us (we are a digital agency). Thx.

Kai Dickas: Agree. The template feature we are working on will include "automations". I also wanted to ensure that you realize it is possible now to setup Solution Templates as we have many customers using the approach I have outlined below.
Many customer setup solution that are on the Home Page that are labeled "XYZ Template". They then use permissions to limit who should be able to see the Template on the Home Page.
We have one customer that uses a Template for each new client. When they get a new client they then Duplicate the solution and name it based on the client - including base content and automations. I have included some screenshots below to show the concept.

The ability to do this is beyond powerful.
It allows you to think about customer service and efficiency from a different standard because your “master template” could be built out fully, but to share that can be done in seconds.
If SmartSuite is sized both externally with clients and internally with staff. Then this feature can be used to curate onboarding and a daily/ weekly experience. Including adding training videos and resources to make your product more efficient and powerful.

Jon Darbyshire: will we also be able to create templates for records? That would allow us to move away from ClickUp for task management, as all of our tasks are documented and should start from a template. Just curious if that is planned, and also what the current status of the Template Centre is overall?
