Request for Addition of Czech Republic Locale in SmartSuite
planned

I would like to request the addition of the Czech Republic locale in SmartSuite. This is crucial for our users, Filip and Matěj, who have expressed the need for accurate localization, including the proper date format (DD/MM/YYYY).
Details:
Issue: The SmartSuite workspace was initially set to Greenwich Mean Time, which has led to time zone discrepancies.
Request: Add a Czech Republic locale that includes:
Proper date format: DD/MM/YYYY
Appropriate time zone settings
Temporary Workaround: We have temporarily adjusted Denmark’s locale as a workaround, but this is not a long-term solution.

We have added this to the immediate-term roadmap.

Hello Matěj! Following up on this:
- Can you provide more details about the specific features in SmartSuite that Filip and Matěj use most frequently?
- Are there any other specific localization features, apart from date format and time zone, that you would like to see included in the Czech Republic locale?
- Could you share more about how the current lack of a Czech Republic locale is impacting your user experience?

Jon Darbyshire Hello Jon, sorry I am seeing this now that you had some questions. Let me try to sum up below.
1) We are implementing Smartsuite into our work processes and adding new people from the company as we go. As of now we have multiple solutions in making and we will definiely add more.
This request was made in one of our initials calls with Emma as we are using the date field and its modifications in basically everything and also we are using the Timeline/calendar view quite a lot. WE are using right now Germany locale as it has the same date format but talking about this I don't know if there is some glitch or whatever but it might be because of that in calendar/timeline view we see the months and other stuff written in German language eventhough our language in workspace is set to English.
2) I can'T think of anything else, just the time zone and time format 24H + DD/MM/YYYY date format we use normally here. :)
3) Basically just what I described in point 1 at the end. There is some error with the language showing German language in timeline/calnedat view even when we do have English set as workspace language. Bad thing is that everybody speaks English but German not so much in our company...
Thanks a lot for your efforts.
Have a great day,
Matěj
