Unable to Zoom in on Attached Images in Mobile App
R
Robert DeBergh
In both Android and iPhone, the mobile app does not allow zooming into an attached image in a record. Will you please implement this function?
Jon Darbyshire
Hello Robert DeBergh! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific actions do you want to perform after zooming into an image?
- Are there any particular image formats or types that you frequently use and need zoom functionality for?
- Is there a specific level of zoom you expect or find necessary for your use case?

Hey Jon Darbyshire,
Sorry I thought I responded to this but realized I didn't.
- The use-case we have for attached images are typically print screens for a user to include an error message. These are unreadable in with the standard scale on a mobile device so zooming in would allow us to read the error message.
- Yes, .png is the primary image type we use.
- I'm not sure exactly the level of zoom required but if I were to guess, probably around 200%.
Thanks for looking into this!

Zoom in/out on attachments

It would be great if we could zoom in and zoom out in the lightbox on attachments. Items such as PDFs load in a viewer that you can scroll through, but full page screenshots can't be viewed properly or with needed context under a forced size.
Benjamin Bachman
I have a client that is asking if they can zoom in on this viewer as well.
Jon Darbyshire
Great to hear your perspective, Jesse Wallace! I have a few more questions for you:
- Could you please specify the types of attachments where you would like to see this feature implemented?
- Are there any specific scenarios where the current viewing size of the attachments has hindered your experience?
- Would you find it useful to have a feature to adjust the viewing size of all attachments or just for specific types of files?

- I really think this is only needed for images. PDFs and docs have viewers that make them easier to use.
- Yes, anything that is really taller than wide: tall/full web and mobile screenshots, infographics, etc.
- Primarily images. As mentioned, PDFS and docs have specific viewers that have magnification control in them, so this really only applies to jpg, png, etc.
