I use QR codes for Forms. It would be handy if in the Share Feature of a Form there was a "Share with QR Code" option.

I was wondering if the SmartSuite team has an update on this item.

I want to tap on this and say, I have a client who is in need of this feature.

I'll chime in with another use case: we sell and install network devices that are all bar coded with serial number and MAC address data. We receive these devices into inventory then move them to customer accounts as they are installed. After installed, we use serial number data to retrieve related information. Our inventory team as well as our field ops team could dramatically improve their speed and accuracy if they could scan the bar codes to first enter data into SmartSuite then to retrieve data from SS with this field type integrated in the platform. But the kicker is that the mobile app must also natively support the field type. So, for data entry when we receive devices, we would want the interaction to be that when a bar code enabled field is selected such as SerialNum, if the field is empty, the SmartSuite app should open the camera and be ready to look for a bar code. Once scanned, would be desirable to see an "enter" action occur to populate the field in one action (camera closes and the device returns to the SmartSuite app). This would facilitate ease of use by inventory workers. Good luck with the effort! (happy to test beta if needed!) BTW: The bar codes we currently have to work with are not QR codes, but we may encounter those soon. So flexibility in bar code format is important.

PLEASE ADD QR CODES! This is a needed KEY feature for warehouse job sheets.

Creating linked QR codes to new and existing records is the ONLY function that I have NOT been able to replicate in my migration from Airtable to Smartsuite (which in every other way is a best fit for my workflow).

Please, this QR creation function in Smartsuite is DESPERATELY needed!!

As well as a QR code that links me to a specific record in SmartSuite, I am in need of QR codes for a slightly different use case and was wondering if this will be covered with this planned update:

I am in need of a QR code that is created based on a combination of fields. I could also use a formula to combine the fields and then generate a QR code based on the result of the formula.

Will this be possible with the update that is planned?

Having a barcode field in SmartSuite is essential since it would speed up data entry, lower errors, improve inventory management, organize data better, and enables mobile data capture. I track 6K+ fixed assets at a college with barcodes, a must for accuracy and speed.

I have a need to to use or create a Event Ticketing System and use the same fields within both programs. If I could sync fields between https://ticket-generator.com/ and Smart Suite easily then this would solve my problems.

But if I had the ability to Create QR Codes within Smart Suite then I can Create them and use them on Tickets and Create my own Event Ticketing System within Smartsuite so that all the info stays within and is documented by Smart Suite. This would save me the cost of using the other program but also avoid the hastle of learning how to link both software programs together flawlessly.

I not only need to have QR Codes to be generated within Smartsuite but also have smart suite have the ability to allow my Cell phone to scan the qr code and display the info associated with the qr code.
