When importing a large number of records, it would be useful to have a progress bar to see that something is happening. This would provide better visibility into the status of the import process.

Hey správce Ninjabot, thanks for your feedback! Following up on this:

Can you provide more details about the type and size of the records you are importing?
What specific information would you like to see in the progress bar?
How often do you perform large imports and how does the lack of a progress bar impact your workflow?

Jon Darbyshire thanks for your questions. Most common use case is importing a CRM like contact list.  Lets say around 10k records, with cca 10 columns each. But it can be any kind of database. I
d say every second or third client needs this, because it is not always the case, that we build a database up from zero records. Usually there are some data already somewhere else, like excel sheet.
In the progress bar - for me it is enough to see percentage of completion (maybe % of records imported), just to see that it is working. So far there is no such indication, and if i don`t see anything imported after half an hour, i start to worry and think about redoing the import again.
