Overwrite a Grid View

for the many times i am not paying attention to what view I am working in, and I get it adjusted just like i want, and then I realize what I have done... it would be nice if one could right click on the view i should have been adjusting and simply overwrite the view with the current modified view settings.

Hello Gary Ford! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details about the specific view settings you are referring to?
- Could you clarify what you mean by 'overwrite the view'?
- Can you describe a scenario where this feature would be particularly useful?

Jon Darbyshire - I am referring to the view settings that remember the columns that are visible and the sort, group, filter settings that each view has the ability to remember. By Overwrite i mean that if I have GridViewA open and I change anything about the column visibility, sort, group, or filter settings and i then realize that this is exactly how I want GridViewB to be setup so I click on the three dots of GridViewB (not opening the view) and then click on an option that says "Overwrite active view instance to selected view" and now GridViewB has the same settings as the current active instance of GridViewA. Note that GridViewA may be set to not auto-update, so I have not permanently changed GridViewA that I was working in, but I have updated GridViewB without spending the time to open GridviewB to make changes. By "active view instance" i mean the current view settings of any view that is open. I use a very similar feature for filtered views in the 3D modeling software I use called archicad. While we are talking about views, it would be really sweet if there was a "table view" for all of the view settings of each of the views in for a table, where all of the view settings could be managed without having to open each view and adjust them manually one at a time. This is another feature found in Archicad and it is a huge labor savings in the management of hundreds of views.
