Moving checklist items to another checklist field
Aysha van de Paer
Hey Jon - sure. I recorded a quick Loom video to show you exactly what I mean:

I use checklists every day and would use this feature on a daily basis.

Hey Aysha van de Paer, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the process of moving a checklist item from one field to another?
- Are there any specific scenarios where this feature would be particularly useful?
- How often do you find yourself needing to move checklist items between fields?

I would like to also comment with some of my use cases.
An Oder or task might have to be done over and over again. That record could have a checklist That is slightly different. If sent to another department that checklist cannot be sent with the automations, forcing someone to go find the linked record or have the information input in a different way.
The other use case we had was when 2 records would update each other, the checklist field was unusable because checklist items wouldn’t transfer.
The only way a checklist is usable with automations is if it is standard and cannot be modified in anyway. You can’t send the items unless they are predetermined.
Checklist items being included as a field from trigger would be nice.
I don’t exactly see a need for moving checklist items to a different field type like a smartdoc field, but that may not be the case for other Smartsuite users.
