Make formulas calculate live when adding/editing a new record.
Rosson Long
Often times when you are making a record (especially one that needs to be signed or approved in some way) the end user needs to be able to see the results of what he has entered.
These results are often math-heavy and we have SmartSuite do that heavy lifting for them. However, to visually confirm its accuracy they have to save the record and commit it to storage before they can observe whether or not the values are what they intended for them to be.

Great to hear your perspective, Rosson Long! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific types of records or data entries are most affected by the lack of live calculation?
- Are there any particular calculations or formulas that are more critical to be displayed live?
- How frequently do users need to adjust their entries based on the live calculation results?

Hi Jon Darbyshire, I can share a situation I have:
At the end of a service call where an engineer finishes the job, he creates a service record using a form. Since the billing is hourly based, the engineer enters using a form his travel time, his on-site time and if he had any brakes. The client need to sign the form, but the simple calculation of how much time he will be billed is missing (travel time + on-site time - break time).
In some cases the engineer need to fill a form without the client approval and show the math to the client on his Phone app.
Since formula fields are not showing in forms, there isn't much more he can do...
