Make an option to show Linked Record tables as "Tabs" like ServiceNow does....
Ben Dunford
For large/many linked records, ServiceNow has a better UI for their "Linked Record" equivalent where rather than show the linked records in-line as a field as SmartSuite does, they show the linked records as "tabs" that you can select that allow you to see the whole linked table.
This is helpful because today in SmartSuite with a long list of linked records, even in full screen view, you have to use the scroll bar AND it takes up a lot of real estate / makes the record view longer. Adding collapsible Sections just hides the tables.
I think this "tabbed" view could be enabled by adding an Option under the Linked Record called "Show Linked Record Table as Tab".
Probably more to consider on how you then organize the tab on the page, but would be a much faster way to get to linked tables and make SmartSuite more "Enterprise" ready in my view. QuickBase has as a similar approach.

Hey Ben Dunford, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the organization of the tabs on the page?
- Could you clarify how you think this change would make SmartSuite more 'Enterprise' ready?
- Are there any specific features in ServiceNow's or QuickBase's approach to this that you would like to see implemented in SmartSuite?
Ben Dunford
Jon Darbyshire I love that you respond to this feedback. Such a
pro
move- I am not a UI expert, but I envisioned that a "Linked Record Tab" would make a new "section-like" block (maybe you call it "Tab Section") with the linked record tab(s) horizontally across the top where the Section header text is currently. Each tab would have a name. Clicking on the tab would expand the linked record(s) in tabular format.
- I like SmartSuite much better than ServiceNow and Quickbase, but the "information density per page" is lower, so I think it can feelless capable b/c the margins are wider/bigger. May be just my impression. This tab option would increase information density like those Enterprise apps.
- I think being able to see the linked record tables more easily as a tab is the main improvement I had.
