Integration with SalesForce
complete
Artem Kunytsia
As a sales consulting company, we often have clients who run their CRM operations in Salesforce. In order to streamline our communication, we need to pass specific fields of data between SmartSuite and Salesforce, mainly related to accounts, contacts, leads and opportunites.
Here are our specific use cases:
- Ability to create and update records in SmartSuite based on changes in Salesforce, based on a Trigger event in SmartSuite automations.
- Ability to create and update records in Salesforce, based on a Trigger event in SmartSuite and an Action that sends data to Salesforce.
- Ability to set up a real-time sync integration between SmartSuite and SalesForce. This sync would be a direct integration and not automation that is based on a specific Trigger.

Bi-directional Salesforce Integration

Current Salesforce integration is limited to one direction, SmartSuite to Salesforce, and does not include the ability to create a Case object in Salesforce. Our company would love to be able to create new cases from SmartSuite form submissions/records while also being able to keep our SmartSuite records up-to-date with any changes in Salesforce: Account, Contact, Cases, etc. Thank you!

Great to hear your perspective, Jami Morris! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific data fields from SmartSuite need to be synchronized with Salesforce when creating a Case object?
- Are there any specific conditions or triggers that should initiate the creation of a Case object in Salesforce from SmartSuite?
- How frequently should the synchronization between SmartSuite and Salesforce occur to ensure data is up-to-date?

Hi Jon Darbyshire,
We can exclude the SmartSuite to Salesforce synchronization for now. What we really, really need is a Case option in the existing Salesforce integration. Would like to be able to create a Salesforce case when a record is created, updated or when a form is submitted. Thank you!

Artem Kunytsia: Hi Artem, with this marked as complete, does this mean that all three phases have been completed, or only the first phase?
If only the first phase is there some way to keep track of the subsequent phases?

The second phase will include using SalesForce as a Trigger to update,s records in SmartSuitephase and the third pahse will include a direct syn integration between SalesForce and SmartSuite.update
