Details: When using a multi column record layout, fields in adjacent columns are forced to share the same vertical row height. If one field is taller, such as a radio button field with several choices, it creates a large blank space in the adjacent column and pushes the next field down unnecessarily.

Columns should be able to flow independently, so fields stack directly beneath the field above them regardless of the height of fields in the neighboring column.

Ideally, add a layout option for “Align by Rows” versus “Independent Column Flow.” This would make record layouts much cleaner and eliminate wasted space created by variable height fields.
