Sticky Filters Across Dashboard Tabs
Tommy Martin
When using dashboards with multiple tabs, filters currently reset when I move from one tab to another. This makes it harder to work across tabs because I often need the same filtered view while checking different parts of the dashboard.
For example, I may apply a filter using the filter widget, switch to another tab to review related information, then return to the first tab. When I come back, the filter has reset and I need to set it up again.
It would be very helpful if dashboard filters were more “sticky” and stayed active while moving between tabs. Ideally, the filter state would remain in place until I manually clear it or change it.
This would make dashboards faster to use, reduce repeated steps, and improve workflows where users go back and forth between tabs while working with the same filtered data.

And along similar thoughts the pivot table widget is great but static in the way it presents data, changing the filter requires edit permissions which the user may not have. Could the pivot table widget be added as a widget which can be connected to the filter widget?

I agree! For example, having a filter tab on the first tab that also impacts widgets throughout the dashboard on other tabs would be super helpful!

Thank you for posting, Shaun Buswell! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the filter widget working across all tabs?
- Are there specific tabs where this feature is more critical for you?
- Would you like the filter selections to be saved for future sessions or just within the same session?
