after you enter in the actual address if would be nice to have ability to only display the City of location and/or State. Don't need to see full address in grid view

This is possible now by creating a formula field, with this formula:

[Address].[City]

In this instance, display only the city and state

or whatever. This would satisfy your request, and would meet my needs too.
