Field Banner Needed
Peter G.
We really need a Dashboard Banner similar to a Heading or a Text Block - except it would allow one to include fields and the ability to apply Rich Text to those fields as well as arbitrary typed text. The fields would display without a label, but since the user could type in ad-hoc text, labels wouldn't be necessary. Afterall, the field value itself would often be sufficient. The field banner would be linked to a Record Selector. You might place it above a Record Detail on a tab, for example. Or on several tabs.
I think this is a really important one and should be a piece of cake for SS to implement and deliver (easy for me to say ;)

Peter G. thanks for the feedback on this. I am trying to understand a use case so I have our designer think about this. Is it possible for you to share more details about a specific use that I can use for the initial design concept?

Jon, thank you for your reply.
Attached are 4 screenshots (4 tabs of a dashboard). So here I am using the fictional name of John Smith - File No. 005927.
The field banner would work just like a regular banner, except it would allow you to insert field values - in this case "John Smith" and "005927" as well as arbitrary text, formatting and background. The banner would be linked to a Record Selector. Without that the user can lose context of which record (or in this case, patient) they are on.

P.S. The above example makes a good case for an option to display a banner above the tabs so that you wouldn't need multiple duplicate banners.

Another use case would be personalized greetings of employees on a dashboard, like welcoming them back after being ill or on vacation, wishing them an easy-going last workday before vacation or a simple "Happy birthday!"
