Duplicate a tab in an existing dashboard.

I want to create a dream tab in a dashboard and then duplicate it to be on multiple tabs where I can then apply different filters to each tab. The UX is the exact same, sizing, color, tables, etc without having to recreate every tab.

Yesssss this would be amaaaazing, i dont know how many times i have to keep duplicating dashboards, or same charts in different dashboards, because diffrent solutions are access by diffrent teams, so i cant do the dashboards all in one place to have people view the same place.
Being able to duplicate Grids dashboards - with duplicated arrangements of fields would be great as well. If we can save our arrangement of fields in Grid Dashboard so we can reuse it. HOw many times i have to keep deleting the same default values, and then add in my preferred columns, and then doing this multiple times everytime i choose grid and my table for Grid Dashboard.

Duplicate Tabs in Dashboards
Tommy Martin
Being able to duplicate a tab in dashboards would be a huge time saver.
Having different tabs in a dashboard offers endless opportunities, but the inability to duplicate them makes it a bit painful to “rebuild” several tabs with similar setups/modules.

Hello Tommy Martin! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific features or settings would you like to be retained when duplicating a tab?
- How frequently do you find yourself needing to duplicate tabs in your workflow?
- Are there any specific modules or setups that you often need to duplicate across tabs?

- The entire dashboard tab/page/layout. Even if tabs could just be rebuilt manually, duplicating makes it easier for Dashboard Layout and module sizing to be consistent. Everything down to the column width of properties inside Grid Views, etc.
- I'm at a stage where we're starting to build Dashboards for everything. The goal is to be able to work solely out of Dashboard no matter what is needed to be done,. So the short answer is...a lot.
- With all the new features coming over the years, the way we use dashboards will evolve and change. So I feel dashboards will constantly get updated and duplicating tabs will be a way to copy/paste new changes quickly.

Jon Darbyshire to follow up on this - duplicating individual widgets to another tab would be helpful as well.
Being able to duplicate a tab and maintain the same layout would be a good first step. I also, think that being able to select the widgets to keep would be a nice to have but not necessarily required.
Jon Darbyshire
Great to hear your perspective, Colleen Deal! Following up on this:
- When duplicating a tab, would you like the option to select which widgets get duplicated?
- Should the duplicated tab maintain the same layout as the original tab?
- Would you find it useful to have a 'duplicate tab' option in the tab settings or would you prefer it to be in a different location?
