Create multiple records automation

I want to create multiple records from a list of linked records or multiple select items in the parent record. Example: The parent contract record has a linked record field to "pay periods" that is automatically populated with which pay periods are included in the contract. For each pay period, there needs to be a new record created for the pay schedule (the amount paid per period and the pay date). So when the automation triggers, the "Create records" action would parse that there needs to be a new record for each pay period linked in the given field (i.e. if the person is paid in January and February, there would be a linked record field that contains 2025-P1 and 2025-P2, and then a pay schedule record would be created for each of those). There are multiple other use cases I can think of, but the core function I am looking for is to iterate an automation action over each item in a list from a previous action or trigger.

Create multiple records automation action

It would be convenient if there were a way to have the action in automations be "create multiple records" rather than limited to single record creation. Perhaps specifying how many, where, and what fields map (almost like when importing a csv or xlsx file).
For example: I create a clinical placement record for a student, but then (since my students only have guest status), I want to autocreate their shift schedule in a separate "timekeeping" app. In my case, for each placement, I will need 15 timekeeping "shift" records. With a multi-record generating automation, I would not have to create and link each of these 15 automatically.

This is a functionality I'm very much waiting for. I'd like to use it to copy project calculations into quotations into orders into monthly invoices. At the moment I use the workaround, that one of the more recent YoutTube videos suggests, but it messes up my data model. So I'd appreciate it very much, if this was native to the automations.
