Counter in Communication Center should show unread comments only
Rachel Dew
maybe it can toggle between total count and unread count:
grey will show the total amount of communication
Red will show the number of new communications

Jon Darbyshire Whilst I fully understand Stefan's use case and would probably agree if I were in his shoes, I'd like to make sure a counter-use case is registered here too - the continuous flag of messages (read, unread or otherwise) is really critical for us to track what has been commented on at first glance without having to go into each record to review.
If this feature recommendation is to be built in, please can it be left as optional for Workspace Administrators to toggle so both use cases are captured.

Thank you for posting, Smohr! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you clarify if you want to see the count of unread messages across all records or just for individual records?
- Would you like the unread messages count to reset once you've viewed the record or only when you've opened the unread message?
- Are there any specific types of messages or notifications that you would like to be excluded from the unread messages count?

Hi Jon Darbyshire,
- Can you clarify if you want to see the count of unread messages across all records or just for individual records?
Stefan: Individual Records. (Across all solutions can already be seen in the Common Communication Center)
- Would you like the unread messages count to reset once you've viewed the record or only when you've opened the unread message?
Stefan: When it was opened by me. But then a "Mark as unread" would be helpful. (See e.g. Outlook or MS Teams)
- Are there any specific types of messages or notifications that you would like to be excluded from the unread messages count?
Stefan: Yes, messages written by myself.
