Conditional grouping in Forms
Jon Darbyshire
Great to hear your perspective, Jacob Feldman! Following up on this:
- What specific conditions or criteria would you like to use for grouping in the form view editor?
- Can you provide examples of how you envision using conditional groups in your workflow?
- Are there any specific features from the SmartSuite reporting toolbar that you find particularly useful and would like to see in the form view editor?

Jon Darbyshire Hi Jon - filters in grids provide the ability to group conditions. The ability to group conditions in that exact same way for form conditionals would be great.
The intake form we have that I mentioned in my other feedback item is fairly long and complex (it's higher ed, what do you expect :D). As a result, sometimes the logic for what questions we need to ask gets equally complex.
Features that would be nice on forms (this isn't totally what you asked but going for it):
-the ability to have a customizable "no longer accepting submissions" message that can be put up, without unsharing the form. Use case: I need to turn the form off, possible temporarily, and want to redirect someone to a new form. (again - higher ed. Processes change constantly. It's fun).
-Wider form display format. Forms look to be very mobile optimized, but that also makes for long forms, lots of scrolling, if you have a lot of questions.
-the ability to have "columns" of objects within the form. For example, I'm able drag items around in Airtable forms, to put questions next to each other. See screenshot. This relates to the previous item. Makes complex forms more manageable - less scrolling. This is not a high need. A "that's nice" rather than a "need it".
Appreciate the consideration of these! Thanks!
