Column Totals for Collapsed Groupings of Records in grid view

This request involves adding functionality to show totals for columns even when the groupings are collapsed. For example, when the disclose arrow is open, it shows totals, yet when when closed, the summary is hidden with it.
See the comparative before and after pics below where the summary data is not preserved visibly and there's just a void of white space. (I have have budgets which would server as better examples, but this is simple and does not expose data!)

When you're in a gridview and use the “Group by” function, when you select the “Collapse all” option, I'd like to see a summary of the results for each group (sum, average, etc., depending on what you've set).
