Automate Recurring Due Date

I’d like the ability to set a recurring task (a task I do on a weekly basis, for instance), and have the due date automatically update to the next date it’s due, without creating a new task, or changing the due date each time.

It would be great to have the ability so that a due date can be turned from normal date to repetitive task using automations. write i can change the date but i also want the ability to trigger this repetitive field using automation.

Gady Margalit: sounds like Sara Raygor is asking for the current task to just update the date and NOT create a new task... ? Does the new repeat task feature do that?

Ara Bozadjian: No it doesn't :( it also means no history... But if this is what Sara needs, You can create automation, every time a task is updated, change it to open and set the due date to today+7
