Assign records to Teams

Trying to build out my teams workflows and not having this is quite restrictive. Is there an update yet?

Any movement on this?
This would make Guest accounts a lot more useful :D

This would be major for us on multiple fronts. One major problem we have is that we see a lot of individual turnover with some of our clients. Assigning and re-assigning tasks, etc from Individual #1 to Interim role Individual #2 to New role individual #3 at scale will be nearly impossible.
This becomes even more important since we cannot change an accounts email address in order to try to hand the account to the next person cleanly. Eventually a new CMO will be logging in under an email from someone who left 5-10 years ago.
The other area where this will help is in just making records visible by assigning a team. Again, if we on-board a new individual to a team that needs to view (but not own) tasks... we are just left to go through the skulldrudgery of individually assigning them to a guest access view for every single record. With this.. we'd just add them to the team that already has guest view access appropriately assigned... and with historical view of what has been done (since we'd never remember or bother to assign the new person to stuff already completed).

Yes! This really builds out the usefulness of teams.

This is important to my team as well. Thanks for suggesting it, Paul.

Jon Darbyshire To my surprise, Zoho CRM actually had this mapped out quite well. Here's a brief description & link to their docs in case it can help speed up this feature.
Share Records with Groups
In Zoho CRM, records are always owned by the user. However, access rights to the records can be extended to other users by grouping a set of users and setting up sharing rules for each module. After setting up the sharing rules, group members can access records in CRM modules as per their permission in their profile.
