Add GPS Coordinates field to address field

Add GPS coordinates field from Google Maps to the address field. Allows you to use the field for driving directions from the mobile app or to identify a specific location that does not have a registered street address.
As an example, we would use the GPS coordinates field to identify intersections on the map view for each record. This would allow us to click the link and use Google Maps to direct us to the location.

This feature would be very important for our purposes, as we use coordinates without an address.

Love this idea. We have people clocking in/out of job sites and we like to record their lat/long or GPS coordinates. It would be super neat if that could be displayed as a point on a map or added to the field, whichever makes more sense.
We also work with many manufacturers and logistics companies that can send us a table of GPS locations which can become a map showing an objects "course" on a map over it's lifetime which is another applicable use case.

Would be OVERJOYED if SmartSuite could please include include GPC LOCATION Field and then a MAP and then an ADDRESS, in that order. My client builds and maintains government buildings across Southern Africa. I am developing a solution for them based on the Project Management Template (Excellent!). We need the GPS location to attach to all site inspections. IN Southern Africa not all locations have addresses, some of these buildings are in the rural areas. So GPS coordinates and the country code and name is vital.
Another low code tool has these, each extremely compelling. Please consider, I do no want to use another tool, when Smartsuite is an ideal fit for everything else.

I also see business cases for this with the ability to use "Current Location" if the user is on a GPS enable device when adding a new record / submitting a form.

somewhat related, nice to use these coordinates for map view. if we could automatically record the coordinates of where we were when we created the record. this way when you want to recall a meeting's notes but can recall the names or topic of meeting but you remember I was in Atlanta on a business trip ....go to map view and you see a record pinned to the map......
plus there is some many other uses....... property inspectors, restaurant reviews, favorite moments on a trip

For the telecom industry, this is a MUST!! To be able to add Longitude and Latitude, not formatted addresses, would help us know where our facilities are and which areas are serviceable within a specified radius

This is great. Would be nice if you could put together a route by determining time as well as distance. Allow for time at each location. I would put several locations on a map and then map the locations in order to be able to setup a daily route. Also would be nice to be able to convert that information into mileage logs for year end taxes.

Jon Darbyshire: Just discovered that Google has "Plus Codes", which is a condensed version of the GPS coordinates.
Not sure if it's possible or necessary to include a "Plus Codes" field or if the Plus Code can be input in the regular address field.
"What are Plus Codes?
Plus Codes are like street addresses for people or places that don’t have one. Instead of addresses with street names and numbers, Plus Codes are based on latitude and longitude, and displayed as numbers and letters.
With a Plus Code, people can receive deliveries, access emergency and social services, or just help other people find them."

Paul Ricci: What I like about coordinates vs Plus Codes, is that it is a standard. Mobile devices have the base capability of providing to apps the device's GPS coordinates, or to select a point on a map that automatically returns its GPS coordinates. I have used that feature extensively in Google's AppSheet no-code tool. I am eager to see this feature implemented in SmartSuite.

Jon Darbyshire Hi Jon, would it be possible to get a status update on the feature?
