Ability to change natural sort order of a grid.

YES! We are always modifying our workflows. I have to keep a weird numbering system in order to get added items to show up in the correct workflow order. I wish I could just move it where I want it like Excel or Google Sheets. We can move fields around, and I desperately need to be able to move records around in the same way. I have numbered records now with decimal places when I run out of whole numbers to sort it correctly.

Monday.com also has a great implementation of how you can modify the original sort order of a grid view. You sort a column and if you want this to be the new natural sort order you hit a save button and it save the sort order.

1) If you can make same or similar to airtable the would be perfect. When you sort a column in airtable it's not a persistent sort unless you turn on a toggle which says auto sort. So need to have option todo a onetime sort which would change the natural sort order or have a persistent sort on.
2) In my use case I sorting invoices by a custom field vs a date and then I need to make some minor adjustments to that order which I do manually drag and drop this is in Airtable. Since I'm adding invoices on a weekly basis then I would say I'm doing a minor sort on a weekly basis.
3) When I need to sort invoices by a phase in a project vs invoice date.

Hello George Elio! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific criteria or attributes would you like to use to define the new natural sort order?
- How frequently do you anticipate needing to change the natural sort order of the grid?
- Are there specific scenarios or use cases where changing the natural sort order would be particularly beneficial for you?

Jon Darbyshire Jon any plans on implementing the feature which allows you to change the sort order of a table, without having to turn on the persistent sort feature since I cant move rows around when that feature is on.

George Elio I am looking today at the reference you provided for this capability from Monday.

Jon Darbyshire Wow!! Thanks for the quick response Jon, only a product guy masquerading as a CEO would look at column sorting on New Years day lol!!!
