Link Records to Multiple Apps

Currently, Linked Record fields can link to one App anywhere.
It'd be great for Linked
Records to be able to be a multi-select Apps so you can choose to connect a Record to Records on any of multiple different Apps
Use Cases:
- Link EOS Rocks to Tasks across multiple departments
- Link the SOP Record Database to any other Record inside the SmartSuite Workspace
- Any other situation where you have information that's useful to link company-wide vs. just Solution-wide.

This would be huge! Perhaps a toggle in the field to either allow linking to all record types/tables, or just specific one(s).
For example - if I have an Approvals table, I'd love to be able to link a record for anything I want "Approved" regardless of what table/solution it lives in to have it all show in that same area. I assume that if you toggle the option to have more than one Table to choose a record from, Lookup fields wouldn't be an option, but that would be fine in this case as long as single-table Linked Records.
I'd love these options in the Linked Record field:
- Single Linked Table - all lookup fields stay
- Multiple Linked Tables - allow me to choose more than one table from all solutions
- All Tables in current Solution
- All Tables in All Solutions (maybe??)

It would be the solution where I could switch from monday.com for good. I am an insurance broker.
As an app, I have contracts and then I need the details. Car insurance has different questions, different details than life insurance. I could go into contracts and see the relevant details for the different types of insurance. Many other software has that. Please work on this.

Polymorphic linked records! My use case for this is to create an Approvals App where you can approve any kind of linked record. That way we could track approval times to be able to optimice different workflows

Has been possible in other software for many years.

Was typing a similar request but just find this request has been. submitted here already.
So just add my comments here also:
In an App X, if I have 4 records for example. I may want to create a Linked Record (or similar) field where for each of the records I can link to different records in different Apps.
Currently, when I use the Linked Record field type, I find that I can only specify the Linked Record field to link to one particular App P only. But if for each of the records in App X I want to link to different App (e.g. App X Record 1 link to App P Record 2, App X Record 2 link to App Q Record 7, AppX Record 3 link to App R Record 5), there is no way I can do so now.
I actually need such to create shortcuts between different App's different records. More links a Hyperlink styles to link up related records in different Apps for cross-referencing.
That will make the Linked Record field much more powerful.

I think this might help me as well. Probably going to book some time with SS team because I have camera operators I hire out to my venue clients for productions services. I deal with service orders from the clients that book with me that I would like their booking form data to translate to the job bookings I make with freelancers as well as a set of Admin tasks for me to accomplish with gear rental. THEN if its possible to link a completed job status from the service/work order to trigger some kind of Auto reminder to my poorly behaving client who seem to never pay on time. I want to integrate a daily email/sms/call reminder or something to get their AP inline for timely NET15. I don't know maybe you can do most of that with the tools already but I already see my needing a App for the client side and bookings/service orders - then and app to book and lock in freelancers with job details - then just an all around task admin app at least. Look to replicate a "Jobber" software vibe but one that doesnt suck. Using wordpress, gravity forms, some silly portal software called Copilot.... my life is a mess right now.

Another use case: we have vendors and traders,. Traders both buy from and sell to us. Instead of having to include two linked-record fields for POs, (same for customers and SOs) having a linked-record field that would allow the user to select records from either the vendors app or the traders app would be much more user-friendly.
