It would be ideal to create a single dashboard that includes widgets displaying data trends over time, with a global date filter for more strategic analysis. Currently, the global filter widget seems limited to linked records, single/multiple select, and yes/no fields. Adding support for date filters would greatly enhance the ability to analyze data effectively.
