Attachments directly in Comments

Would like to directly attach files or images from a SmartSuite field to a comment or email within the Communications Center.
Currently, the attachments have to be uploaded from the computer, and cannot be selected from the record.
In a current use case, the file or image from the record has to be downloaded to the computer first, then uploaded from the computer and attached to the comment or email. There is no way to directly attach the file or image to the comment or email.

This is useful for service businesses.
Field workers could add attachments from a job directly in the comments sections of a record of that job as they sometimes need to report live situations or problems using photos.
The empty state of a comment mentions you can post a screenshot or image, but it seems it is missing on mobile.

- Can you provide more details on the types of attachments you would like to add in the comments section?
- How often do you anticipate field workers will need to use this feature?
- Are there any specific mobile platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) where this feature is particularly needed?

- Mostly photos from camera or library
- Almost every day
- Both platforms would be needed as the mobile devices they use are mixed between the two platforms

One question though, you are currently able to select attachments from any attachment field that exists in the record when composing an email. Or you're talking about something else ?
True, that is not supported in the comments. We'll discuss this internally.
