Unlike most other views, Dashboards can only be edited by Solution Managers and the one person that creates the Dashboard. There are situations where we do not want to assign solution manager roles for a solution, but we do want business owners to manage their dashboards.

If a person leaves or if a manager wants to delegate building, the solution must be copied if more than one non-solution manager wants to build or extend a dashboard. Copying is not practical when dashboards are linked throughout the organization.

One possible solution is to name 'owners' and 'editors' of a dashboard where owners may delegate edit control and editors may modify the dashboard.
